In the November 2018 issue of Craft Stamper magazine, the amazingly talented Tracy Easson shared Harry's Dream with us. A beautifully illustrated story, full of wonderfully coloured stamped images!
As you can see, the story itself was accompanied by all kinds of complementary projects, so we thought we would share these in more detail here today!
You will have seen the storyboard planner for the book in the magazine, but it's worth sharing again I think!
A work of art all by itself!
Tracy designed a 'Magical Doo Dah' for harry to take with him on his adventures.........
Harry`s Magical Pocket Doo Dah
Stamps Tracy used...
Whichcraft Wonky Tonks by Tracy Easson: Dreamer boys Harry and Edwin; Stairway to dreams; To the moon
Hobby Craft: Alphabet Stamps
Other materials…
Ranger Archival Ink: Jet Black,
Faber Castell Mixed Media pad
Caran d`Ache Neocolor ll wax crayons
DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic Paint: Titanium White
Prima Finnabair Mechanicals – Pocket Watch, Mini Stars
DecoArt Media Antiquing Cream – Burnt Umber
INSTRUCTIONS: Grab a pocket watch, remove the back and measure paper to fit, to create a background.
Follow the step out as before to colour your background and image, glue to the base. Take the recycled clear
film, cut to fit inside to create a window, glue in place. Pop the back into place, adhere little stars to all four
corners before covering with white acrylic paint. Once dry apply antiquing cream to age it, then buff of excess
cream. Add a little tag along with scraps of fabric to complete. Want to wear your art? Attach either a brooch
back or a chain and your good to go.
We love the chunky dimension to this piece:
And with an eye for detail as always, even the back has been adorned!
Tracy also created a catapult for Harry....
We love how the letters have been given a touch of colour!
Everyone at Craft Stamper HQ adores this whole project, we can sit and look at it for hours and find
detail after detail! Simply amazing :)
Thank you so much Tracy!
