Cover Mount Creations

Check out Wendy's blog for a lovely card she has made with the December 'Merry Christmas' cover mount. Clever use of the stamp Wendy! I am so chuffed to see people using the free stamps and am so glad they are useful - so many mags have freebies people just chuck away so I do feel proud to see your gorgeous creations.

OK, that's quite enough gushing from me. Here's another small thing I made with the January Poinsettia cover mount. Not much to say about this one except to note that I didn't have any matching ribbon so I tried Distress-inking a piece of grosgrain - and it worked a treat!
Let's see what you've made with the Christmas stamps!

Edited to add, looky what Kim made - gorgeousness!

Bonus December Cover Mount Make, by Alix Waterhouse

This card by Alix Waterhouse wouldn't fit on our free stamp makes pages for December issue, so I am sharing it with you here instead.

Below are Alix's instructions:
Using Versacraft ink, stamp the whole image onto a 2” square of cotton. Heat seal with an iron. Stick this onto a 2 ½” square of hessian, then stick the hessian to a square of white card to stabilize it. Using a sewing machine, make small rough zigzag stitches all around the stamping to create a border and to give a quilted effect to your fabric. Assemble onto brown cardstock as shown, and doodle around the border using Liquid Applique. Heat this with a hairdryer to create texture.

Christmas ATC

The theme for this month’s ATC swap in Craft Stamper is Christmas. We've had some lovely entries on this theme which really seems to have inspired you to create.

I loved this month's winning entry - see Joanne Wardle's blog for a picture and more of her lovely work.

On the left is my take on the Christmas theme. I sponged inks onto white card, sprayed lightly with red Glimmer Mist and over-stamped with swirls using Brilliance inks. I then stamped with a wreath (Basic Grey Winterland) and seasonal message (Fancy Pants Designs) in black ink and finished with a wee bit of glitter glue (my latest favourite product), a swipe of Ranger gold paint and some paper flowers.

Trade with me! I would love to swap with a reader – please post a comment here if you would like to swap with me . If there's more than one comment, I will choose one person at random to exchange with.

Thanks for visiting, hope to see you again soon.

Hello and welcome to the all new Craft Stamper (CS) blog! On this blog you’ll find various bits of information which complement the contents of CS magazine including some extra little projects, sneak peeks of forthcoming features, news and other bits and pieces. I’ve included links to our contributors blogs and also links to other blogs which you might enjoy.

The December issue of Craft Stamper is due out Friday 7th November and is packed with inspirational projects for Christmas. Whether you like cute or classic, vintage or modern, we have a great selection of card ideas to suit many tastes. Trish Latimer’s classy star book and Gail Milburn’s stunning altered book are two of my personal favourite projects this month. Fans of Sue Roddis will be delighted to know that she returns to CS this month with some quirky and fun card makes using peel offs – yes, peel offs!!! No, she hasn’t gone mad – her technique still involves getting inky!

We aim to update this blog weekly, so please come back and see us soon for news, mini projects and more. If you’d like to link your blog to ours we’d be delighted - please feel free.

***LAUNCH GIVEAWAY!*** To celebrate the launch of our blog we have some blog candy for you. We are giving away these delightful Penny Black Twelve Days of Christmas stamps, as featured in the December issue. To enter the draw, leave a comment on this post and put a link back to here on your own blog. A winner will be drawn at random on 15th November.
