Take It Make It Challenge: Winners Profile

Hello!
Welcome to our Winners Profile, showcasing the Design Winner of last month's Take It Make It challenge!
The very talented winner of the January 2019 challenge is:

Mac Mable

Mac Mable won the challenge with this beautiful card. We loved the wonderful colour scheme and the delicate stamping. Simply gorgeous!

We asked Mac Mable a few questions about stamping (well, we are Craft Stamper after all!)

Q: How long have you been a stamper, and how did you get started?
A:

I have always crafted in some way but developed onto stamping after going to a craft show and being in awe of what you could do with them… Since investing in a stamping platform I stamp more and more.

Q: What are your favourite kind of stamps, and do you have a favourite stamp company?
A:

I love stamps that can double up for different purposes, like foliage stamps. They can be in the background or the main focus. No favourite stamp company…I love them all.

Q: Describe your style, are you a 'messy' kind of stamper or do you have more of a clean and simple style?
A:

I don’t really think I have a style…I am not a CAS perfectionist or a full on Mixed Media artist, I bump along somewhere in the middle.
My heart is in techniques and as a result I am a messy sort of crafter.

Q: What kind of projects do you like creating the most?
A:

Anything that involves techniques, pastes, stencils, stamping and die cutting. I enjoy challenging myself to make CAS cards, whilst mixing the medias and as a result often pushing the boundaries.

Q: Apart from stamps, what is the one product you wouldn't be without when you craft?
A:

That’s a tricky one….Pigment  powders, like Lindys or Brushos as you can use them in so many different ways.

We also asked Mac Mable to share some of her favourite stamped creations with us, and tell us why she likes them so much. Here is what she has chosen:

"I loved mixing the medias of water colouring with Lindy powders, stamping and heat embossing and melting UTEE to create unique shapes" - Mac Mable

"Starting with alcohol inks and the wrap technique and evolving the card into a Christmas card with lots of die cutting, stencilling and layering of the elements" - Mac Mable

"The first time I had tried stamping with markers. I so loved the colours and the water colour effect achieved with my stamping platform" - Mac Mable

Congraulations on being our January Design Winner Mac Mable, it was lovely to learn a little more about you!
